Our Father's Kingdom — Select Passages
Our Father's Kingdom

This week's passages: Select Passages
We spent time this Sunday looking at what the Bible says about Our Father’s kingdom. Starting with the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6, where the very first request Jesus teaches us to make isn’t about provision or protection. It’s “Your kingdom come.”
We walked through three movements. First, that God’s kingdom is not of this world. It’s not a nation, an institution, or a political party. It’s spiritual, and it’s found with God alone. Jesus told Pilate plainly: “My kingdom is not from the world.”
Second, we looked at four hallmarks of the kingdom from the parables in Matthew 13 and other passages. It’s good news. It blooms organically. It has hidden value. And it draws all kinds of people together, from every tribe and tongue.
Third, we talked about our dual role as God’s offspring and His ambassadors. We come to Him like children. And we carry His message to the world. The Greek word synecho means Christ’s love arrests and compels us. Our ministry is reconciliation, not cultural conquest.
Something to sit with this week:
Are you seeking Our Father’s kingdom first? Or settling for a counterfeit?
